Meet the Maker

Hi! I'm Katelyn, the maker behind Penny's Place. I started this small business in 2023; I was looking for a creative outlet while in the trenches of postpartum and a big identity shift for me personally & professionally.

Penny's Place is named after our sweet dog, Penny. I wanted Penny's Place to be a space that felt cozy and joyful to everyone that "visited" it, offering products and heirlooms handmade with love. With a focus on sustainability and upcycling, I started with just one line of preloved knitwear for embroidery; I've now expanded into preloved and new knitwear so customers have a variety of options. I also have a handful of crochet products available too, I really just love all things yarn! 

When I'm not stitching, I'm chasing after my two kids, trying to find time to read or working on my audition tape for Survivor :)
